Our members thoughts on belonging to Ferrier

It's great having a sing each week. We have a laugh. I find that I can forget all of my troubles when I come and practice with Ferrier as it is fun. At the performances, you just have to go for it.

As a member of many South East London Societies, I believe Ferrier to be the best musical society in the area and which does the type of music that I enjoy singing.

It's brilliant singing in a group of such fantastic musicians, feeling the improvement over the weeks and enjoying a giggle on the way. You can lose yourself in the music and it's a shock coming back to reality! The concerts and performances start off nerve-wracking but are great fun for us and how lovely to get such positive responses from the audiences.

I joined Ferrier in February 1974 when I needed some new friends. I made those friends and they are still friends now. Although I belong to lots of other singing groups, Ferrier is the one where I feel at home.

I first sang with Ferrier in 2002. I can remember the first rehearsal, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I was so happy to be there. I love singing with them as they all enjoy performing and having fun.

I have been with Ferrier for some years. I enjoy working with this friendly group where everyone is valued and the chorus in expected to such a high standard.

I love being a member of Ferrier because its friendly and a place to meet new friends. We have a variation of shows and lots of chances to play a part, especially one you've always wanted to play.
